Studio Work

Alex Hirsch maintains an ongoing studio practice making paintings and independent projects such as illustrated texts and video. She explores themes of equilibrium, solace, and hope, often working in black, white, silver, and gold. Other works demonstrate her love of color and expertise with palettes. At its core, her practice reflects attention to materiality and intimacy, no matter the scale. She is motivated by a search for light amid darkness and balance within chaos.
